Champions Format:
Heavy Champions Format
The weapons styles are as follows: Sword and Shield, Weapon and buckler, Florentine, Bastard Sword, Great weapon, Spear 7 foot and under, Single sword, and Single Dagger. I will supply enough of the designated weapons so a fighter and their opponent can fight with each style. Fighters are welcome and encouraged to bring their own weapons.
Each fighter will have to fight with each weapon style. Each fighter will have to cycle though the list of weapon styles before they can start cycling through them again. They can cycle through them in any order they want and save their best style for the more difficult opponents but as I said before if they already used their strongest style early they would have to cycle through the rest of the others before they could use it again. After using a style they would tell the list mistress the win or loss and the style they fought with.
It would be on the fighter to keep track of what style they have used and what is still available to them. They could ask the list mistress for help identifying this information if they lose track because face it that is why she is keeping track of it, but ultimately the fighter should be able to keep track of the style they haven’t used.
Then the finals will be like last year Best two out of three. First round Baronesses choice, second round champions choice, third Finalist choice.
Rapier Champions Format
Entrants: All authorized rapier fighters may enter; only those aspiring to champion will be considered for the position
Format: Fighters will each be given a number of tokens. Some members of the populace will also be given a token. Entering each fight, the fighters must pay for themselves (a fighter with a single sword), and may buy upgrades in the form of allies or off-hands. The winner of each bout keeps the tokens paid by both fighters. Upgrades do not carry. When a fighter is out of tokens, they may implore the populace for either their charity, or their favor in turn for good deeds. Else, a token-less fighter is out, and will report this to the marshal. When only one fighter remains, or 45 minutes have passed, the fighter with the most tokens will be considered the victor.
